Earn the appropriate degree

Pass the required examinations

  2. Second you need to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination. It is a discipline specific exam and, consequently, you will take the exam in your main discipline.It is preferable to take the test in the last year of your program or sooner after graduating.     Note that you can only take the exam thrice within a year.

    In case you want to work as an entry-level engineer, passing this exam is a requirement.

  3. The next exam to take and pass is the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Examination.
    The examination assess your knowledge of engineering and tests your competency. Those engineers can take the exam, who have at least four-year professional experience.
